1. Introduce yourself.
My name is Aleksandra Lazar.I came from Poland. I am 21 years old. I have two sisters. But at my home I am the youngest. I prefer active style of life so that is why I do sports and very often travel.
2. What's your department in your home country?
At my home-university I study economics.
3. What would you like to do after school?
It is really hard to say what i am going to do. Because i still have to study 3 years. But i think that's one of my plans for the future ıs to run own business.
4. What do you like and dislike in Antwerp?
In Antwerp I like the culture diversity, but from time to time I feel here not so safe and I really dislike it.
5. What are the differences between your home country and Antwerp?
The main difference I mentioned in previous question – the diversity. In my home country there are not a lot of foreigners. Also the way of living is different. Poles have own habits and different values in life.
6. Do you have any interesting experience in Antwerp?
I think that this exchange program – Erazmus is my opportunity to gain experiences which could be fruitful in my career life . Day-to-day I have to cope with daily problems and new challenges at school.
7. Have you visited any country during your erasmus study? If yes, where?
During my stay here I have visited Germany, because my family also live there. What is more I have been with Erazmus-group in France. I think that Antwerp is great located in Europe but the prices of ticket are so high so that is the main obstacle to visit different country.
8. What do you miss the most from your home country?
I think that I miss so much my family and my boyfriend. But they support me every day. We have a great relationship together and from time to time I really want to come back.
9. How can you describe your home country in 3 words?
welcoming, interesting, mysterious.
10. What do you think about Erasmus exchange program? Will you advice to your friends?
I think that this period of life is very important for me. Every day I have to deal with problems and I can gain international experiences. I also have met a lot of interesting people from different country. It is great! I think that my friend should also take part in this exchange program.
11. Do you know anything about the political situation in Belgium? If yes, what do you know?
During my stay here I have heard a lot about political situation in Belgium. But one fact which draw my attention is that they still don't create the government.
12. What do you think about Plantijn Hogeschool? Is there any differences between Plantijn and your home institution?
Plantijn Hoghschool is a really good institution. It offers students many opportunities to gain experience. I think that I can find many differences. For example educational system, the relations between teachers and students, the way how teachers pass on knowledge.
